Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek divides the entire trekking into 4 nights in Kathmandu, 6 days of trekking and finally 1 night in Pokhara with total days of 11. This trek allows Kathmandu sightseeing, Pokhara City Tour, Scenic Mountain views from Poon Hill, Sunrise and Sunset views, getting into Ghorepani Gurung village and knowing about Ghale and Gurung Culture.

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is an easy trekking option to the lower altitude of the Annapurna Region. This trek takes you through beautiful valleys, waterfalls, alpine forests and decorated villages. Trekkers who are restricted by time can chose this trek to explore the wonderful natures of Annapurna Region.

Poon Hill, with an altitude of 3210m offers outstanding views of the Annapurna Mountain. Also from there, a breathtaking view of sunrise and sunset can be taken that lasts just a few minutes. Along with this wonders, Mt Dhaulagiri [8,167m], Mt. Annapurna [8,091m], Mt. Machapuchchre [6997m], Mt. Annapurna south and Mt. Hiuchuli can also be seen from that altitude of Poon Hill.

Besides, getting into the lives of the Gurung people there and knowing about their culture becomes one of the most interesting parts of the trek.

Itinerary for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport [1,338m/4,389ft] transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu

Day 02: Sightseeing / Cultural Day in Kathmandu Valley. Hotel overnight

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara [827m/2,713ft] takes six hours. Stay overnight in hotel

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Tikhedhunga [1520m/4,986ft] takes one hour. Camp or teahouse overnight

Day 05: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani [2874m/9429ft]. Camp or teahouse overnight

Day 06: Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani [2,630m/8,628ft]. Camp or teahouse overnight

Day 07: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk [1,984 m/6,509 ft]. Camp or teahouse overnight

Day 08: Ghandruk to Pokhara treks down to Nayapul [2,070m/6,791 ft] through the cultivated fields in Modi Khola valley. [4 hrs] and then drive to Pokhara [1 hrs]. Hotel overnight

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu. Hotel overnight
