International Mountaineering Camp (IMC) "Pamirs"
Who has not made a plan for the summer of 2020! There is a unique opportunity to spend part of the summer in the area of Lenin Peak in the legendary International Mountaineering Camp (IMC) "Pamirs".
This was the first international mountaineering camp in the Soviet Union, opened in 1974 at the Achik-Tash glade in the Alai Valley. Many famous climbers of the world remember those "golden times" of this camp.
The camp received a new lease on life in the summer of 2019, when a team of professionals rented the IMC premises. Little has changed here since the beginning of the 90s. In the dining room on the walls hang photographs of the coaching staff of those times. And the buildings and premises are in good condition.
By the beginning of the 2019 season, the restoration and painting of houses in the main camp had already been completed, the power line was restored, and water supply was established. A new water intake with clean mountain water was built. The camp has a bus that runs along the route IMC "Pamirs" - Lukovaya Polyana.

On July 1, 2019, under the Lenin Peak, the
first Climbing Equipment Rental Point in the region was opened on the territory of the IMC "Pamirs"! In 2020 season everyone will be able to rent high-altitude boots, crampons, ice axes, harnesses, carabiners, jumars, trekking poles, sleeping bags, helmets, gas burners, ropes and so on.
The International Mountaineering Camp team sets up the ABC at an altitude of 4400 meters and high-altitude camps with spacious tents along the way to the top of the Lenin Peak.
