International Mountaineering Camp (IMC) "Pamirs"

Who has not made a plan for the summer of 2020! There is a unique opportunity to spend part of the summer in the area of Lenin Peak in the legendary International Mountaineering Camp (IMC) "Pamirs".

This was the first international mountaineering camp in the Soviet Union, opened in 1974 at the Achik-Tash glade in the Alai Valley. Many famous climbers of the world remember those "golden times" of this camp.

The camp received a new lease on life in the summer of 2019, when a team of professionals rented the IMC premises. Little has changed here since the beginning of the 90s. In the dining room on the walls hang photographs of the coaching staff of those times. And the buildings and premises are in good condition.

By the beginning of the 2019 season, the restoration and painting of houses in the main camp had already been completed, the power line was restored, and water supply was established. A new water intake with clean mountain water was built. The camp has a bus that runs along the route IMC "Pamirs" - Lukovaya Polyana.

Amazing landscapes, stunning turquoise lakes, Lenin glacier, blooming edelweiss, fresh air and pristine mountain energy, familiarity with the life of the indigenous inhabitants of the Pamirs - all this is within walking distance from the IMC "Pamirs", where you will stay with comfort. National cuisine, a Russian bathhouse, horseback riding - this is an incomplete list of what awaits you during your stay in the IMC "Pamirs"!

On July 1, 2019, under the Lenin Peak, the first Climbing Equipment Rental Point in the region was opened on the territory of the IMC "Pamirs"! In 2020 season everyone will be able to rent high-altitude boots, crampons, ice axes, harnesses, carabiners, jumars, trekking poles, sleeping bags, helmets, gas burners, ropes and so on.

The International Mountaineering Camp team sets up the ABC at an altitude of 4400 meters and high-altitude camps with spacious tents along the way to the top of the Lenin Peak.

And most importantly, prices and discounts! You will definitely like them.

Outdoor activities in Central Asia 2018

The warm months are coming, so many fans of outdoor activities are interested in the opportunities that are available in the mountains of Uzbekistan.

As for trekking, it is possible, but activity in mountainous regions of Uzbekistan has many limitations because of strict border rules, registration and so on ... In fact, only a small area around Chimgan is open to travelers. One-day hiking in the mountains, horseback riding and rafting are still possible. However, white water rafting is possible in Uzbekistan only on one river and until the end of May.

Meanwhile, the border between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan has been simplified. The long-closed border crossing point of Djartepo near to Samarkand was recently re-opened.

This allows the trekkers leaving Samarkand in two hours to be in the heart of Fann Mountains.

The opportunities for trekking that Fann Mountains give, of course, are incomparable to any other region in Central Asia and there are no strict administrative restrictions.

Therefore, in the coming season for outdoor activities we recommend combined tours, for example Tashkent - Bukhara - Samarkand - Fann Mountains - Samarkand - Tashkent.

Current Offers / Upper Mustang Trekking

Upper Mustang Trekking

Overview

Upper mustang trek is one of the most exotic treks that introduce us to the hidden world of old Buddhist kingdom Mustang also called Lo. In the past this area used to be the part of Tibetan empire, which makes this place much similar to Tibet in both land topography and lifestyle. Tibetan Buddhism is still practiced here in very raw form.

Mustang situated in the rain shadow area of Dhaulagiri takes you in to a desolate landscape which is surrounded by rocks of bizarre formation. The presence of villages with corn fields in this landscape makes this place even more beautiful.  The trail winds around the salt caravan route of old days.

The upper Mustang trek takes us to Lo Manthang. Lo Manthang is a medieval town surrounded by huge town wall and was attached into Tibet unitil 14th century. The area is restricted and requires special permit.  Lo Manthang is a small kingdom which still has a King. The Palace is surrounded by gompas and houses.

Upper Mustang trek gives you once in a lifetime opportunity to experience unique arid Himalayan beauty along with unusual landscape. The landscape here is characterized by windy and arid valleys, eroded canyons and stratified rock formation. As we return we will visit the holy temple of Muktinath which is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhist.

Mt. Manaslu Expedition 2018/2019/2020

Mount Manaslu is eight highest mountains in the Earth. It is located in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas and also in the west-central part of Nepal. Mount Manaslu is about 8,156m (26,759 ft) above mean sea level and it is located about forty miles east of Annapurna. The word “Manaslu” means “Mountain of the Spirit" in Sanskrit language. Manaslu was first climbed on May 9, 1956 by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu, members of a Japanese expedition.

Our cook and helpers will prepare and serve three delicious freshly cooked and plentiful meals a day and will ensure that hot and cold drinks are available 24hrs a day.

We also provide dining tent, kitchen tent, toilet facilities and portable shower facilities and tent accommodation for our staff.

Manaslu Expedition Full Board Services.

For full board clients we provide personal tent and food, which will be prepared by their climbing Sherpa. We provide UHF/VHF hand held radios on the mountain to maintain communications between ABC and high camps.
We provide a personal climbing Sherpa guide to help the clients to reach the summit. The secret of success on Manaslu is a strong and experienced climbing Sherpa. No matter how good and experienced climber, it is a long slog. Personal climbing Sherpa will set up camp 1 and camp 2 and camp 3 including food provisions, fuel and oxygen and will guide and assist the client on the summit day.

Approaches to ABC.

The trek into the base camp of Manaslu is absolutely breathtaking and takes you back in time when all Himalayan mountains were approached on foot. The trek starts at low elevation of 950m in Arughat and rises gradually over next 10 trekking days. It is a perfect way to acclimatize before base camp is reached and to take on climbing relatively quickly. From the village of Arughat situated in the low country the trek climbs through narrow gorges, rhododendron forest and local pastures to emerge into the higher alpine country with Tibetan influences.
The Advanced Base Camp (ABC) (4800m) is located at the lateral moraine of the Manaslu Glacier and it can be reached within 10 days trek or there is also option of flying in to ABC by MI-17 helicopter from Kathmandu.

Climbing Routes

Manaslu has many interesting routes leading to the common summit and many of them were climbed and explored. The standard commercial route is along the original route of the 1956 Japanese expedition up the Northeast face.
The climb is straightforward and only slightly more technical then Cho Oyu or Shishapangma, however with low Base Camp it is a long climb and with relatively high objective avalanche risk.

Traditionally there are 3 camps above base camp C1 (5,500m), C2 (6,300m) and C3 (7,300 m). Some expeditions establish an intermediate camp between C2 and C3 at 6,700m. The terrain encountered on the ascents varies from glacier crossings to steep snow steps and requires a good understanding of basic alpine climbing techniques. Manaslu has been climbed Alpine style but traditionally all commercial operators practice expedition style to improve the chances of summit success for the clients.

Dhaulagiri Expedition (8,167m) 2018/2019/2020

The Mt. Dhaulagiri

The 7th highest mountain peak in the world is Mt. Dhaulagiri. It is the 5th highest one amongst in Nepal. This mountain is located in the Northwest of Myagdi District of Nepal.  Dhavala means “White” and Giri means “Mountain peak” from Sanskrit, is a real giant which endorse to say the range of White Mountains as Dhavala-giri here after called Mt.Dhaulagiri in combined. The real altitude of Mt Dhaulagiri is (8,167m) from sea level. Mt. Dhaulagiri is one of the most formidable peaks to climb with the first successful summit only in 1960 by the Swiss following from the Northeast ridge. This mountain was first sighted by the British surveyors in India in the early 1800s but remained virtually unknown until a Swiss aerial survey in 1949. Five ridges buttress Dhaulagiri l and even up until the early 1980's only the Northeast ridge had been successfully climbed. Dhaulagiri is considered the most interesting peak among the eight thousand meters one. In terms of rise above the terrain Dhaulagiri is unparallel as it rises 7000m over Kali Gandaki valley over horizontal length of 30km, which by any standard is an impressive statistic.

Mt. Dhaulagiri Expedition

Dates Apr 15/Sep 15

The vast majority of ascents to date have been via the first ascent route, which is the "Normal Route" on the Expedition of Dhaulagiri. However ascents have been made from almost every direction in this mountain. Dhaulagiri has 5 ridges and south and west faces, which raise 4000m from their Base Camps, offering opportunities to develop many interesting routes from Italian, Swiss and French camps. As of 2007, there had been 358 summit ascents of Dhaulagiri and 58 climbing fatalities on the mountain. Due to its technically challenging routes, the lack of big commercial expeditions is one of the more attractive qualities of Dhaulagiri as only seasoned mountaineers seem to have interest in this formidable mountain.

Dhaulagiri Expedition Base Camp Service

We offer you very professional, supportive and friendly mountaineering logistic services from Kathmandu to the ABC as well as during the climb. Our objective is to ensure a good quality, supportive, safe, friendly, stress free and comprehensive service to maximize summit opportunity.

We provide a comprehensive service organizing all necessary permits, and climbing documentation, travelling logistics including airfares, ground transportation, porters, and other individual services required by mountaineers. On the track to the ABC we organize logistics for provision of all required accommodation and food.

Our cook and helpers will prepare and serve three delicious freshly cooked and plentiful meals a day and will ensure that hot and cold drinks are available 24hrs a day.

We provide spacious expedition quality personal tents for all our clients both with full board or base-camp service only.
We also provide dining tent, kitchen tent, toilet facilities and portable shower facilities and tent accommodation for our staff.
We provide access to communication including satellite telephone and internet access, and solar panels to charge your batteries.

Dhaulagiri Expedition Full Board Service

We provide personal tent and food, which will be prepared in high camps by their climbing Sherpa. We provide UHF/VHF hand held radios on the mountain to maintain communications between ABC and high camps.

We provide a personal climbing Sherpa guide to help the clients to reach the summit. Personal climbing Sherpa will set up camp 1, camp 2 and camp 3 including food provisions, fuel and oxygen and will guide and assist the client on the summit day. There are no commercial expeditions on Dhaulagiri so your climbing Sherpa with cooperation of other clients climbing Sherpas will set-up fixed ropes.

Approaches to ABC (Advance Base Camp)

The approach to the Base Camp is from Pokhara, driving to Beni Bazaar and trekking from there along the Kali Gandaki Valley through Tatopani (1189m), Ghasa (2012m), and Marpha (2667m) before turning off to Yak Kharka (3680m) and the Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4700m). The trek to the Base Camp takes 5 days. On the way back we trek only 2 days to Jomsom (2710m) and take the flight back to Pokhara.

Climbing Routes

Normal route is via Northeast Ridge, the original route climbed by Swiss-Austrian expedition in 1960. Typically 4 camps will be set up for the climbing. The Advance Base Camp is established at 5,300m, just to deposit the gear but it will not be used as an overnight camp due to avalanche danger.

Camp 1 will be established at 5,900m on the Col east from the ABC.
Camp 2 will be established at 6,400m, which is reached from camp 1 with some steep climbing sections.
Camp 3 (7200m) will be located towards west with steep ice and snow climbing. From Camp 3 we climb towards the East Ridge, where we likely experience strong wind conditions before reaching camp 4 (7500m). This is the most difficult part of the climb.
From camp 4 we make direct push for the summit and return to camp 3 if the conditions will allow us. With difficult conditions the fallback is to setup bevy at 7,900m in order to attempt another summit push next day.

Dhaulagiri Expedition Spring -2018/2019/2020

Every Year in spring and autumn the Mt. Dhaulagiri Expedition could be scheduled.

In autumn you may start this expedition since end of August and complete at around end of October not exceeding middle of November for end of it. In this period the temperature toward the expedition area is changing from hot to cold. So, the climber has to face the critical situation for acclimatization for approaching to summit.

However in spring, the temperature to the Dhaulagiri climbing area is getting from cold to hot which is more convenient for approaching to summit after sufficient acclimatization and practice in various camps. Start at the end of March or beginning of April and end at the beginning of June is the best recommended period for Dhaulagiri Expedition in spring. The total duration will be within 45 days.

Thus we strongly recommend our climbers to choose the spring season for their Dhaulagiri Summit Dream however, we are ready enough for organizing the Expedition in both autumn and spring of the year.

With a simple technology and the distance from the mountain, the height was determined with really phenomenal accuracy and only 8m off from current value of 8848m.

The name of British Surveyor in 1956 was Sir George Everest also the General of British India during the survey period and hence to honor him the name of this highest peak was chosen as Mt. Everest. Tibet and Nepal were closed to foreigners, so it is reasonable to assume that local names of the mountain were unknown. It was lucky that the tallest mountain was not named after an unaccomplished politician or a royal family member.

The wealthy but inexperienced climber can be accomplished with everyone in a climbing pinnacle of Mt. Everest. The climbers can be taken to the summit for a substantial fee by a professional mountain guide with a team of climbing Sherpa guides. There are two commercial routes on Everest expedition, south route via Southeast Ridge from Nepal and via North Ridge from Tibet. The royalty of Everest Expedition from Tibet Side (North Face) is much lower.

ClimberCA is delighted to offer the world-class service in the Advance Base Camp and other higher camps of Mt. Everest from its north face in Tibet. Our service covers since arrivals in Kathmandu, Hotel accommodations, transfer to Kodari border for Tibet, 4 wheel drives and tea house full board services from Nyalam till Tingri before arriving to advance base camp.

For Everest Expedition, the climbing Guides of our company are highly skilled, time to time reviewed and recognized by worldwide due to their training and experiences in this profession and paid up the high range of wages and fees. To these guides and climbers in our Everest Expedition we are going to put on a rope with. This is a serious climb with serious consequences should things go wrong. So, one of the most things we have to keep in mind while operating Mt. Everest Expedition is prevention.

Approaches to ABC from North (Tibet):

North Base Camp is approached from the Tingri Plain through Rongbuk (4880m), the location of famous Buddhist Monastery. Two day trek to Everest North Base Camp (6400m) begins at the Chinese Base Camp (5200m) with intermediate acclimatization in Middle Camp (5700m). Typically it takes 3 days to drive to Tingri (4300m) from Kathmandu with acclimatization stops in Zhangmu (1600m) and Nyalam (3700m). It takes typically 9 days to reach ABC from Kathmandu.

Climbing Routes of North Side:

The north side of Everest in Tibet, northeast ridge route, begins from with the trek to the Rongbuk Glacier accessible from Tingri by jeep to Chinese Base camp (5,180m), which is located on a gravel plain just below the glacier.

There is an intermediate Middle Camp before reaching the Advance Base Camp. To reach Middle Camp climbers ascend the medial moraine of the east Rongbuk Glacier up to the base of Changtse (6,100 m).

The Advanced Base Camp (6500m) is situated below the North Col and there are 3 camps above before final summit push. The route is in a way more technical because there is more exposed rock and the weather is much more severe than on Nepalese side as it is exposed to winds all the time.

Camp 1 is located on the North Col, where climbers face long and monotonous ascend of the glacier to the foot of the Col. Fixed ropes are used to reach the North Col (7,010m). From the North Col, there is ascending along the rocky north ridge to Camp 2 (7,775m).

From Camp 2 the route crosses the North Face in a diagonal climb to the base of the Yellow Band reaching the site of Camp 3 (8,230m). Camp 3 the last camp from where the final summit push is staged.

There are three famous Steps after camp 3. There is a treacherous traverse from the base of the First Step (8,500 m) to the crux of the climb, the Second Step (8,580 m). This includes a climbing aid called the "Chinese ladder", a metal ladder placed semi-permanently in 1975 by a party of Chinese climbers and used by virtually all climbers on the route. The Third Step is inconsequential (8,690 m) followed by a snow slope of 50 degrees and the final summit ridge to the summit pyramid.

Note: ClimberCA offers to you the best service & the firm prices of all kind of services we offer on our web-pages. Some services, which we offer to you, are truly unexampled.

ClimberCA is delighted to offer this super exciting adventure. We provide world-class service from Everest Base Camp (EBC) to all the high camps of Mt. Everest from its South face in Nepal. We take care of you right from the arrival in Kathmandu. The price includes Hotel accommodation, the flight to Lukla in the Khumbu region, the trek to Base camp via Namche and tea house full board service during the trek before arriving to base camp; and of course the services at base camp and at the high camps. Let us take care of all the details – you can fully focus on your climb.

The climbing Guides of the consortium are highly skilled, regularly reviewed and re-trained and recognized for their training and experience throughout the profession. We only take the most experienced guides and staff on this expedition. This is a serious climb and mistakes can have serious consequences. This is why we focus extensively on safety and accident prevention for both clients and guides on our Everest expedition. No expedition is without risk and certainly not one to the highest Mountain of the world. However, we implement rigorous safety standards to minimize the risk. We’d also like to highlight that our guides and staff are all employed under ethical standards.

Approaches to ABC from South (Nepal):

The approached on its south side is through the Khumbu region of Nepal leading up to the Khumbu Glacier extending down to Lobuche (4900m). It starts with the flight to Lukla and the trek via Namche Bazaar (3440m), Tengaboche (36600m), Pheriche (4270m), Lobuche (4910m), Gorak Shep (5140m) to Everest South Base Camp (5364m). It takes typically 8 days to reach ABC from Kathmandu.

Climbing Routes South Side:

South route is technically a trekking route with a little objective danger once past the Khumbu icefall apart of few crevasses and seracs bridged by ladders, couple short ice cliffs around camp 3 and rock sections protected with fixed lines. There is an obvious danger of high altitude sickness complications and changeable, unpredictable mountain weather.

The Khumbu Icefall is a steep glacier with obvious implication of large crevasses and treacherous unstable seracs making navigation complicated and riddled with high objective danger of falling ice. This is the most dangerous part of the climb. At the beginning of the climbing period, climbing Sherpa set the route through the icefall installing ladders across crevasses and along vertical seracs ice walls for efficient and easy climbing. These arrangements make climb of the Khumbu ice fall possible, efficient and relatively safe especially early morning before the sunrise, when the ice structure is well frozen. Khumbu ice fall is very dangerous in the afternoon due to its western aspect.

Camp 1 (6065m) is located on the top of Khumbu ice fall; it is a desolate and exposed place mainly used as rest and transition location on the way to camp 2 (6750m). The glacier between camp 1 and 2 flattens but there are still large crevasses close to camp 1, which are also fixed with ladders.

Camp 2 is located in a lateral moraine at the bottom of west ridge. It is a very safe and sheltered location with tremendous views on Lhotse. All companies set-up their main climbing camp for the duration of climbing period with tents for individual climbers, the kitchen and dining tents. Camp 2 is main acclimatization camp and the base for camp 3 acclimatization climb and the final summit attempt.

Camp 3 (7100m) is located on small ledge on the Lhotse wall. One has to cross the glacier to the right side before 40deg 600m climb on the compact snow field. The route is safe with couple of short less then 3m ice cliffs, which climbing sherpas set up with fixed ropes.

Camp 4 (7920m) located at South Col is the last camp; it is easily accessible by majority of climbers without supplementary oxygen. There are two rock sections to navigate before camp 4: Yellow Bands interlayer marble, Phyllis and semi schist rocks and Geneva Spur, an anvil shaped rib of black rocks; they are again set-up with fixed ropes.

This is when the climb starts, the last section of the southwest ridge. It is steep mostly on the snow with some rock section at the Balconies, nice resting platform. The entire route is setup with fixed ropes, which is crucial for safety of all climbers, who are all affected by altitude with low energy and impaired judgments due to oxygen deprivation in the brain and muscle tissue.

From the south summit there is knife edge southeast ridge with dangerous overhanging cornices; the most exposed section of the climb between 3050m Kangshung face and southwest face and Hillary step at the end, a series of imposing rock steps often bypassed on deep the snow, a serious avalanche danger

Our Everest Climbing Services:

The Mount Everest is the highest peak of the World 29028ft. (8848m.) through which the climbing toppers feel themselves as the most proud and adventurous person of the World. Sir Edmond Hillary and Late Tenzing Norge Sherpa first climbed this peak in May 29, 1953, after their long time's effort.

Everest Base camp is situated on the north of Khumbu glacier at high of 18000ft. All the international Mt. Everest climbers assemble here during the starting and at the ending time of their climbing. Normally the climbing duration of this expedition lasts for 90 days. All the climbers who mass there at the base camp seem really busy with excitement for the preparation of their expedition to reach on the summit.

Some climbers climb this mountain on their own risk without any climbing Sherpa guide; and some climbers go with their own climbing Sherpa guide. Most of the teams carry out their own Internet, Satellite phone, Medical Doctor and rest of the modern requirement.

After the Base camp, we have to cross crevasses, Seracs and ice block. Similarly we should face to the way up having Chunks of ice as large as our houses where we should used fixed ropes and aluminum ladders to climb ahead camp 1st 6400m.

Camp 1: 20000ft. (6,400m)
This camp 1 is situated at the flat area of endless snow deep crevasses and mountain walls. Because of the Sun's reflection from this place we get warm and heating ambience at this place. In the night we listen the deep murmuring cracking sounds of crevasses beneath our tent. These are the areas where we have to walk to reach camp 2.

Camp 2. 21000ft. (6,750m)
This camp 2 is situated at the height of the 21000ft, which is located at the foot of the icy mount Lhotse wall though where we have to go ahead. Weather is here is good but bad clouds roll in from the low range of the Himalayan valleys to the bottom of our camp two. But wind here sometimes seems very violent enough to destroy our tents. After climbing these palaces we reach camp 3.

Camp 3. 22300ft. (7,100m)
Camp 3 is located at the height of 22300ft, adjoining to mount Lhotse wall. After climbing the 4000ft. Lhotse wall by using fixed rope and with prior acclimatization it leads us to camp 4. Also on the way we have to ascend the steep allow bands (lose, down -slopping and rotten limestone). From their crossing short snowfield the route moves ahead up the Geneva Spur to the east before finishing the flats of the south col. (Another wells name meaning Saddle of pass). Oxygen should probably be use above base camp 3 in case of needed to the climbers.

Camp 4. 26000ft. (8,400m)
Now we are on camp 4 which located at the height of 26000ft; it is the last camp of the Expedition. From here summit is about 500m, distance far. This is the final and dangerous part of the climbing. This place is besieged by ferocious and violent winds. The normal best way to reach the summit is via the narrow South - East Ridge and it precedes the South Summits 28710ft. From here the way is easy to reach at the summit of the Everest 29028ft; and late Sir Edmond Hillary and l Tenzing Norge Sherpa used this route in 1953.

Current Offers / Manaslu Circuit Trek

Manaslu Circuit Trek

Overview

Bordering Annapurna Conservation Area to the west and Tibetan plateau in the north and east, the area was opened to the foreign tourist since 1991 only. A complete circuit around the Manaslu(8163m), the 8th highest peak in the world is known for its unique blend of cultural heritages, religious practice and antique lifestyle.

This three week trek begins with the full day drive from Kathmandu to Arughat. The walk starts following the mighty Budhi Gandaki River in the northwards. As we continue the trek the gorge becomes steeper and narrowed making the walk even more challenging through the villages on the either side of the valley. Soon, the valley widens up to the astonishing alpine pasture with small Tibetan style villages in the lap of dramatic north face of Manaslu. From the village of Samagon the trail climbs up to Larkya La pass (5213m) which offers the panoramic view of Hiunchuli, Manaslu, Cheo and Himlung Himal. From the pass the trail descents through the alpine meadows to Bimthang before joining main Annapurna Circuit route at Besisahar.

To complete the walk of Manaslu circuit, one should be physically and mentally strong. Though the trek is organized by highly experienced professional, one should properly acclimatize to get used with the rising altitude.
