Fann Mountains Trek & 5000m Peak Climbing Adventure (Zamok Peak 5070m & Energia Peak 5120m)

Discover One of Central Asia’s Most Scenic Trekking Regions with Real Alpine Summits

The Fann Mountains of western Tajikistan are one of the most spectacular yet still relatively undiscovered trekking destinations in the world. Located near the ancient Silk Road city of Samarkand, this compact alpine region offers an extraordinary combination of turquoise glacial lakes, sharp granite peaks, high mountain passes, and accessible 5000-meter summits.

This unique program combines a classic multi-day trek through the most scenic valleys of the Fann Mountains with two real climbing objectives above 5000 meters:

  • Zamok Peak (5070 m) – a dramatic rocky summit rising above the Mutnye Lakes basin
  • Energia Peak (5120 m) – one of the most accessible 5000m peaks in the region with breathtaking panoramic views

The highest peak of the region, Chimtarga Peak (5489 m), dominates the skyline and adds a true high-alpine atmosphere to the entire journey.

This itinerary is ideal for trekkers who want to step into mountaineering, combining stunning landscapes with achievable high-altitude ascents.

From the summit, you will enjoy spectacular views over the entire Fann range, including Chimtarga and surrounding glaciated ridges.

Energia Peak (5120 m)

Energia Peak is one of the most accessible 5000-meter summits in Central Asia, making it ideal for climbers gaining their first high-altitude experience.
