Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Dushanbe
Meet at the airport and transfer to the Varzob mountain area. Dinner and rest.
Day 2 – Iskanderkul Lake
Drive to the legendary Iskanderkul Lake. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 3 – Approach to Dukdon Pass
Begin trekking. Equipment carried by donkeys. Camp below Dukdon Pass.
Day 4 – Dukdon Pass (3810 m)
Cross the pass and descend into the Archamajdan Valley. Camp near Duoba.
Day 5 – Small Alo Lake
Trek through scenic valleys to the beautiful Small Alo Lake.
Day 6 – Greater Alo Lake
Continue to Greater Alo Lake — one of the highlights of the Fann Mountains.
Day 7 – Exploration Day
Rest day with a radial hike to Upper Alo Lake.
Day 8 – Approach to Chimtarga Pass
Gradual ascent towards the high camp below Chimtarga Pass.
Day 9 – Chimtarga Pass (4700 m)
Early crossing of the highest point of the trek. Descend to Mutnye Lakes.
Day 10 – Alaudin Lakes
Trek to the famous Alaudin Lakes — vibrant turquoise alpine waters.
Day 11 – Vertical Alp Camp
Descend to the “Vertical” alpine camp. Transfer to Penjikent.
Day 12 – Transfer to Samarkand
Cross into Uzbekistan and transfer to Samarkand. End of program.
