Program Overview
This 6-day trekking program in the Fann Mountains is designed as a perfect extension to a Silk Road journey in Uzbekistan, combining spectacular alpine landscapes with the historic city of Samarkand.
The route includes the most iconic locations of the region — Alaudin Lakes, Kulikalon Lakes, and high mountain passes — while remaining accessible to beginners thanks to pack animal support and a well-paced itinerary.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Samarkand → Alaudin Lakes
Early morning transfer from Samarkand to the Tajikistan border.
After crossing the border and meeting the guide team, continue by vehicle to the Alaudin Lakes.
Arrival, camp setup, and rest.
Accommodation: Tents
Day 2 – Alaudin Lakes → Mutnye Lakes → Return
Radial hike toward the Mutnye Lakes and the foot of Chimtarga Peak (5,489 m).
Enjoy spectacular glacier landscapes before returning to camp.

Day 3 – Alaudin Pass (3,700 m) → Kulikalon Lakes
Cross the scenic Alaudin Pass (3,700 m).
Pack animals transport the main load.
Descent to the Kulikalon Lakes area via Dushaha and Bibidzhanat Lakes.

Day 4 – Kulikalon Lakes Exploration
A relaxed day to explore the Kulikalon lake system.
Optional walks, photography, and rest surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.

Day 5 – Kulikalon → Chukurak Lake → Artuch Camp
Trek via Chukurak Lake toward Artuch Camp.
