Route Overview

Samarkand → Marguzor Lakes → Tavasang Pass (3450 m) → Sarymat → Munora Pass (3676 m) → Pushtikul Lake → Archamajdan Valley → Alo Lakes → Gaza Village → Pendjikent → Samarkand


Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Samarkand → Seven Lakes (Marguzor)

Early departure from Samarkand and border crossing into Tajikistan.
Transfer to the famous Seven Lakes: Mizhgon, Soya, Husher, Nofin, Hurdak, Marguzor, Azorchashma.
Overnight: Tents


Day 2 – Tavasang Pass (3450 m)

Start trekking ascent to Tavasang Pass (3450 m, category 1A).
Enjoy wide panoramic views before descending into Sarymat Valley.
Overnight: Tents


Day 3 – Munora Pass (3676 m) → Pushtikul Lake

Climb to the higher Munora Pass (3676 m).
Descend to the remote and scenic Pushtikul Lake.
Overnight: Tents


Day 4 – Archamajdan Valley → Smaller Alo Lake

Trek through wild valleys: Valangi-Shahob, Archamajdan, Duoba, Amshut.
Reach the beautiful Smaller Alo Lake.
Overnight: Tents


Day 5 – Greater Alo Lake

Cross Duzahak and Shibarzor areas to reach the iconic Greater Alo Lake.
One of the most impressive alpine lakes in the Fann Mountains.
Overnight: Tents


Day 6 – Descent to Gaza Village

Return via Smaller Alo and Amshut to Gaza village.
Optional overnight in a traditional house for cultural experience.
Overnight: Tent or guesthouse


Day 7 – Transfer to Pendjikent

Drive to Pendjikent, one of Tajikistan’s oldest cities.
Rest and optional exploration.


Day 8 – Return to Samarkand

Transfer back to Samarkand. End of program.
