Rock & Ice Climbing Techniques | Ascents up to Category 3A–3B
7 Days / 6 Nights | All Year Round | From USD 700
Overview
Mountaineering training in Ala-Archa National Park (Kyrgyzstan) offers an intensive and structured alpine education under the guidance of experienced mountain guides and Masters of Sport.
Ala-Archa is a unique alpine training ground: within a relatively compact territory, there are more than 150 climbing routes ranging from straightforward training lines to technically demanding ascents. The terrain includes rock faces, mixed routes, glacier travel, and classic alpine summits — making it one of the best natural classrooms in Central Asia.
The program follows a three-level progression system, allowing participants to select a course that corresponds precisely to their experience and objectives:
-
Level 1 – Introduction to mountaineering
-
Level 2 – Technical development and intermediate alpine routes
-
Level 3 – Advanced alpine and ice climbing (up to 3A–3B category)
Throughout the 7-day course, participants will:
-
Master essential ropework and equipment handling
-
Learn professional belaying systems and safety protocols
-
Develop rock climbing techniques
-
Train in ice climbing and glacier travel
-
Practice team movement and alpine tactics
-
Apply acquired skills during real summit ascents
The culmination of each program is a technical ascent in real alpine conditions, consolidating all learned techniques.
